Son of a respected dervish in Istanbul, Turgut is determined to not follow his father’s path. Torn between the illusions of modernity and oppression of the past, he meets with Eda, a friend from college he always had a crush on and who is now married. Things take a poignantly comical turn when he takes refuge in the lodge with the career-obsessed Eda, a flippant friend and an upper-class man who wants to die. Adapted from the famous novel Şanzelize Düğün Salonu by its author Tarık Tufan.
